So how do you get your copy and paste to show up hi-lighted? Tired to do that earlier and it didn't work for me.

Have already started the school anyway. Had to do something since I didn't have a job. I'm also living with my brother and his family now due to giving up my apartment and tho I love them dearly, they do need to have some space.
I tried Schneiders earlier but according to the app., the felony has to be at least 10 years old and it wasn't when I put it in. Plan to do the app again near the end of the school. I have a friend driving with them who was in the same boat and I think worse but his felony is older and he does have more clean time than me. I have 8 1/2 years clean time and his at least 5 years more. He told me to talk to the recruiter and explain all tha went on on what you've done to correct it, and well, they hired him. All I can do is to just keep plugging away. I may have to drive concrete trucks BUT I will find a job and be the best employee that I cna be.

The type of felony matters at several company's. Felony's that have to do with theft seem to be big no no's for trucking outfits.

I am new to trucking, But I do Know about working union, It Is the ONLY
way to stop these SOB's from what they do to people.
If ALL truckers would organize, Well think about it!!!

You don't need to belong to a organization started by the communist party to organize.

if you read up on the history of unions in this country and what they support, and what they do with members money, you might not be so gung ho on.

Frankly I am getting tired of having to pay hire taxes to support their corrupt and bloated pension funds. Unions work great were there is little or no competition. They can just raise your taxes instead of competing.

You don't like the way your employer treats you then don't work for that employer. Telling a business owner how to run their business is why many have left the US or gone out of business.

This is not the 20's and 30's. Unions and communism are a dinosaur that do not work in a global economy. Even the Chicoms have figured that out

That's right, back in the 20's and 30's unions did a lot of good. All they do now is screw things up, and take money out of your pocket in the form of dues in order to pay for it. I know for sure that todays cars aren't worth what they charge, thats why many of the car makers moved production to Mexico, labor got too expensive here in the US. And job security??? Thats what many unions are fighting for now adays... Job security is one thing...come to work, if the door opens, and your time card is there, you have a job... if not, you need to secure a new one.

I don't get the connection between higher taxes and unions. Unions these days may be a mixed bag. There seems to be unions that protect Americans and American wages, atleast they were in the past. And there are unions that seem to protect and support Mexicans, illegals. these I strongly oppose.

As for unions of the past, going back to the late 1800's, they would fight and even die to get decent working hours; rather than have to work 18 hrs a day 6 & 7 days a wk. We as working class Americans owe them what we had; good jobs, good pay, 5 day 40 work week, overtime, medical benifits, vacation and retirement. Most of which we have lost.

Communist connection is lost to me. Communist China has no unions and don't allow them. When USSR was around, and in a way still is, they had no unions either. I don't know of any communist country that has unions or even allows them.

Now truckers have no union and they have to do what ever they're told for the most part. As I understand it drivers are driving 11 hrs a day 6-7 days a week. And drivers would be driving more than that if the government didn't make certain demands like the 11 hr drive day and the 36 hr rule.

I agree to this. I think the lease is fine if you are a team and both your checks are going to help pay for the same truck, or you are solo and have no family, no house, no car in other words, no other outside payments you will have to make.

I might go with Prime, but only as a company driver. If I choose to go O/O then I will save up for a decent down payment, then get my own truck w/ low payment of about $300 - $350 per month, and maybe still drive for Prime making that 72%. Beats the heck out of paying $700+ with the same benefits.

More than likely though I will just stay a company driver, and let the company take care of the truck.
