I think she wants something local; home every day. Check some temp. services.

You might do a job search on Indeed. I have used it successfully.

Here in western ny where I live we have the penny saver. I know Pennsylvania has the horse trader. Basically local classifieds and want ads. Anyhow there's always a half dozen ads for local work whether it be dump truck, agriculture or even intermodal. I know a small company here hauls intermodal from Lake Ontario to Lake erie out in Pa. Check around for some advertising magazine of the same sorts. You might find something you like.

It's not really temp work. You'll work full time but with different companies. You might work 2 weeks with one company then the next company might be a year. The temp service usually tells you what's available and you can pick and choose. This will eventually lead to a full time job with one company.
Don't know how reliable this information is, but I read that Khan D' Kulia Trucking School in Los Angeles places drivers with FedEx contractors. This isn't a certified cdl school, but does help people get their cdl. Maybe they have some contacts for local work.
