I was driving on I275 North last night and an ARKA Express truck comes barreling down. Another 18 wheeler was in the middle lane, the ARKA truck was in the right lane. The ARKA truck with no care in the world decides to move over to the middle pushing the other 18 wheeler! Really??!!! I don't care that you drive a big truck but you should be more aware of your surroundings Truck # XXXX! or else you shouldn't be driving an 18 wheeler!
No care for other drivers

Actually it's worse.
Throwing the weight around forcing the professional in the victim to give away the lane or space as necessary to avoid a smash.
I'll leave that thought hanging for you to consider. It's ugly out there. Im going to consider it perhaps a immigrant driver using Arab rules rather than American courtesy.rachi, Wingnut1, LGarrison and 1 other person Thank this. -
worse are the sob's who try to force women and children out of the center lane when they have the correct following distance.they get 10 feet from their bumper.
the innocent people dont know you are not allowed in the left lane and dont have the balls to get out there and your not gonna make 30 cents more
that tailgating ticket is probably worse than the left lane ticket but cops dont crack down on the aggressive types enoughTexnmidwest, driverdriver, MachoCyclone and 1 other person Thank this. -
True. I see those local guys pushing traffic around like that. I don't know what kind of incentive they've got to to drive around like a 4-wheeler with an 18-wheeler, but that 800 a week job is gonna come to end if they have an accident.

If you were that concerned with what happened, get a truck number and call ARKA. They would probably appreciate someone helping them get an aggressive driver off the road.
buckeye fan, driverdriver, MachoCyclone and 3 others Thank this. -

Don't worry, this one has the nads to speak up. I had a dollar truck run us over on the Arkansas Freeway, turned out we captured his truck number and his trailer number from our personal car at speeds approaching 115 northbound US 67 towards St Louis. Discovered from DOT number he is owner operator leased to Covenant. Called their safety with the real time location, they matched qualcomm and then gave us a blank check to cover the damage to our vehicle from the alligator he threw when he blew a trailer tire at 90 cutting us off in the middle lane from the right. Im pretty sure Covenant charged back the money from the poor sob.

He wont be the first and he wont be the last. We are warriors about this. Never mind my own past with a dollar truck. The worm turns when you run long enough and mellow out and become actually professional as we have. -
MachoCyclone Thanks this.

Maybe, the driver did not see the other truck. Maybe, he just made a mistake. Maybe, he is new to the industry. As a professional driver we are taught that we drive for five. We have to be aware that sometimes we are in a blind spot. Sometimes another vehicle is going to make a mistake and we have to be aware of that possibility.
As to calling a company and turning a fellow driver in, I find that to be BS. The person could have a wife and a family. Get on the CB and tell him of his mistake of pull along side of him and give him a chance at an apology. It is not our duty to get folks fired. It is our duty to do whatever it takes to improve the safety of the industry.mladen86 and Florida Playboy Thank this. -
