Schneider Automatics?

Some tags have a separate valve to control the air pressure in the tag, if it is over pressurized it can take enough weight off the drive axle to cause it to spin easily.

I thought I detected a bit of patronizing condescension in your first post. Glad to see that I wasn't wrong. Go drive an automatic tag axle truck, and then report back to me with how it's exactly the same as a regular truck. Not only do you only have one axle that you can control you also lose almost 1000 pounds of weight because of the equipment that isn't there compared to a tandem axle truck. When Bob tailing, that weight helps a lot

I'm a vet over at Fort Stewart. I'm currently at the CDL School of Georgia at Fort Benning. I'm curious about the take home policy. Are you able to take the truck home or do have to park at the terminal?

 

SNI is a good starting point. They train and support you as you learn. CDL school only teaches you to pass the test, your first job has to continue teaching.

The account you get on Will determine parking rules usually. I would plan in most cases to park on-site.

 

Agreed. All depends on your position and whos in charge. On my account they prefer that we keep truck and trailer together mainly to reduce wasting time and it should be in a secured lot. I park my trailer in a tanker company's yard with a gate less than 3 miles from the house and bobtail home. Your DBL will want to see a consent letter from the property owner wherever you park. I gave mine a copy of the lease contract. Same thing. I've never had any problems but if you are bobtailing far to pick up your trailer, you will probably hear about it because you are wasting fuel and precious time. You'll want to check with your town as well.
