I picked up a short load at the terminal today going to West Fargo, ND.
I got there just as the driver was t-calling it. He said the t-call had been added to his trip, not sure why because he had plenty of hours.
I think it was t-called there just to give me a load out.
So I'm at the Love's in Fargo, ND tonight with a 0800 delivery about 9 miles away. -
Yes. Everything is packed up and in the morning transfer to my car and truck back to the terminal. Paperwork has already been filled out waiting for me to sign when I get there. Today 2 phone calls trying to get me to change my mind, and not happening. Can only trust just so much.

Kinda stuck in Fargo, ND.
I delivered at 0800 this morning and then sat for several hours before getting a pplan.
Not a bad plan, but I'm due to go on hold in 2 days unless I get the 90 day bit inspection.
I said no, but that I could pick it up if I could t-call it somewhere for the inspection. It was removed, and nothing since.
And the thing is, the load was already late picking up and Inver Grove was close and on the way to the final. Why not add a simple t-call? And there are plenty of sitting drivers at IGH right now.
What I should have done, and will next time, is to just take the load and ask for a t-call after I'm loaded. -
For the same reason that loads headed to Dallas get T-called in Memphis and not Lancaster. The lazy drivers sitting at the terminal, complaining about the lack of loads, refuse to do anything under a few hundred miles.FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Sitting behind a Big Lots in southern West Virginia, waiting to unload in the morning.
I didn't hear any banjos outside, so I think we're safe...inkeper Thanks this. -
Sorry, I meant that Inver Grove was close to the pick up. It delivers in TN.
But I got a pretty nice load this morning. 260 mt and 1400 loaded, headed to GA Monday morning.
We are staying at a little truck stop in Watertown, SD tonight. -
I saw one boy trucking with his grandfather yesterday, he was about 8 or 9 years old, you could tell this boy will grow up to be a billy badace. Around midnight I pulled around to the fuel islands to do a pretrip in the lights, this little boy was wandering around the truck stop while his grandad slept.
Then I saw another father walking his daughter into the TS, she couldn't have been over 5 or 6 years old.
But all in all a lot of kids out with their trucking dads and relatives this time of year, always happy to see it.Moosetek13 and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
Truck stop in Greeley, Colorado. The Home Depot had an empty that was dropped and left so drop and swap instead of waiting until 22:00 for the live unload. That's the first 860 miles for the week, now 60 miles deadhead to Golden for a can run to Montebello for Sunday morning. Ran 2658 last week with 500 deadhead mostly on recap hours, now I'm entirely on recap. I'll call planners tomorrow to try and set up another 1k to finish the week before I take a break.

Rest area, near Antelope OR off US97. Picked up in Saint Helena CA, going to Burbank WA. after that I will be picking up at Burbank and heading to Middleton WI.
Had to dust off the ABC permits, I practically never haul liquor. These two loads bring it up to a grand total of 3 times this year. That's going to push me to about 3300 total miles by Sunday.
