Why do you care what someone else wears?

I wear a long sleeve high vis Carhartt T shirt while loading, strapping, tarping, and driving. I like them, so that's what I wear.

Why does it bother you? How does it personally affect you?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I'm guessing if you saw it, then the one you saw must be a new guy that was handed a bunch of "information" by some super trucker somewhere.

I have been driving Freightliners since late February this year. Started noticing a dull deep pain in my left hand between the ring finger and the bird finger. That's the hand I use mostly to hold onto the steering wheel. Hand takes a beating in those shakers. It could be early onset arthritis I guess. My plan is to try wearing a glove or even switch back into my old truck soon and see if the pain goes away.

Sounds like carpal tunnel/repetitive motion injury. It can lead to arthritis, but if you can catch it now and take steps to avoid it, you should be okay.

Scottie, address the issue NOW. Figure out a solution. If you have to wear shock absorbing gloves, so be it.

Big Don and scottied67 Thank this.

Almost snapped right wrist a couple times with power tools binding. Sometimes it hurts like 19 mofo's. Top knuckle middle finger is farked from the high range lever. Actually using finger next to it now.
I won't touch anything outside the truck without gloves. Splinters are the hugest waste of time.
I have wtf calluses that will fade, but never go away. Blackie gave me the most hugest callus I've ever gotten from truck driving.
I wear gloves, yes the leather, fingerless, knuckleless, Judah Priest ones if I plan on taking the car out for a romp, for grip.
My hands have been turned into hamburger so many times, a lot of the feeling is gone.
Do I ever wear them driving truck? Never in a million years.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
