Wow!!! Didn't this just turn into a bicker battle...

What does the NBA and the trucking industry have in common?

Both chock full of grown men who whine like a *****.

I'm an otr rookie with Prime. I took a load outta Lewiston last week and stayed overnight there. No reload from dispatch after my hours came back so moseyed in to talk to dispatcher there. He gave me a load right away. Not the best mileage but the driver it was slated for wasn't going to make it so I figured I could help out, make some miles and get rolling. Route was slow, went less than 200 miles in about 7 hrs. But I've only been solo for a month and the route went thru a buncha little towns up there where the roads are fit for ponies and oxcarts.
Returned to terminal and waited overnight again. No reload again.
Talked to Lewiston dispatch and he gave me another 500 mile load right away. Woohoo, I was stoked!
Finished that one and returned again that night.
In short, I loved it. Right up my alley. Even talked about getting stationed up there since my home is about 3 hrs away in NH.
The Prime dispatch there is top-notch, helps you get out and rolling asap, don't normally need to be concered about parking overnight anywhere, stores unload you when you arrive, everyones friendly and there to help. I dunno, I can totally make this work even if there are no shower facilities. 5 or 6 days on and 2 off, whats not to like? Just gotta get a second car and I'm seeing about a transfer!

I am very happy you found what you like & can stay near your home; mostly because with you there, less chance of us getting dragged into helping out doing a Beantown load.

    Happy trails & cheers.

To me just starting out, miles = $$ and all I hadda do was say, "hey, got a load going anywhere?" And dispatch is pulling up info and getting me rolling. What more can ya ask? Any day rolling is better than a day sitting, isnt it? Some trips are harder but I'm learning everyday (mostly from my mistakes) and otr was never my long-term goal so Lewistons dedicated fleet may be just the ticket for me.
