Why do you insist I must go to a different website? Can't you tell me and the rest of the assembled masses just what the problems are at Chizek Elevator and Transport? I'm already here, it's really a pain to push a few keys, and go to a different website, then have to endure a search for Chizek Elevator and Transport. I've had a long day, and if it's all the same to you, I really DO NOT want the hassle., Mr. WW Willy, I would prefer reading of the pitfalls right here.

 

Nothing new here. The company has been discussed in exhausting detail in at least THREE different threads here in the past six months. Move along folks.

 

I did take a gander at Chizek on ripoff report (because I have that kind of time).
Strangely enough, most all the posts had a haunting similarity to them.
Then I took a nap.

 

It's hard to completely trust rip-off report. Theres a lot of entries on there that point fingers but mostly about stuff the accusers brought on themselves.

This company is horrible let me explain why. They do not pay detention or lay over or break down. Some of you that may read this are going to say it's the driver who can't do right I've tried everything I can to do right for this company. Horribly mismanaged from the top to the bottom their manager is the owner sister she works from 4 to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday 3 hours per day and many days she does not show up. Her daughter Caitlin is one of the dispatchers and she works usually until 1 or 2 in the afternoon they had me in North Carolina and my fuel strap broke. They insisted I drive to a loves to get a load strap put around the tank in the meantime it only was being held by the front strap. It was 37 miles to the truck stop with a fuel tank that was dangling precariously off the ground. I was worried that it would drag going down the road and leak fuel or Worse catch on fire. I asked the maintenance department her name is Beth and she said Mike does not want to spend the money for them to do a road call service can you please wing it to the truck stop which I did. I started with this company two months ago they put me in a 2010 Freightliner Century Class. It currently has 763000 miles on it it was not cleaned when they put me in it it was very dirty I had to get a new mattress. You are allowed one truck wash per month and you were only reimbursed up to $20. Almost everything picks up around Green Bay Milwaukee Manitowoc Newton where the company is located and since we are not allowed to take tolls because we will not be reimbursed we have to go around them and 90% of everything goes down into Chicago or through it I'm generally travel in Chicago a minimum of twice a week many times over 4 times a week I'm currently averaging about 1800 miles. Their newest trucks are 2014 Cascadia and they have maybe ten of them. After 5 o'clock everybody goes home if you have any issues good luck getting somebody on the phone. Mike chizek the owner of this company is a screamer he does not talk civilly as if you are a human. He makes the company drivers feel very awkward to approach him about any concerns there are many times where I'll sit for a day or day and a half waiting to get loaded there is no compensation for this if you try to get it it will never happen. You are paid zip code to zip code in almost all loads you have to go around the tolls so you're adding on anywhere from 20 to 50 extra miles and these miles you do not get paid for I am looking to go to another company as soon as I can find someone that is reputable and will treat their drivers with compassion and show them that they are cared about I'm tired of being screamed and yelled at I'm moving on hopefully before the end of the year I have been driving for 8 years this is my fourth company and I would never recommend this company to know one please heed my warning stay away
