    Chinatown recommended Freymiller to check on after I get my CDL (He is a great help here a TTR). I will be starting CDL School on August 15th (320 hours). I live just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Do they hire out of the Milwaukee area? I will have zero problems keeping my door shut and driving and I do not want to hang out at the truck stops. The HOS stuff seems pretty esoteric, but I imagine I will learn that in class and with a Trainer. If I can listen to the radio/podcasts while I drive, I can drive forever. I am following this thread and hope to seem more info about the Company. Thank you!

    @Teddy_Salad - Submit applications during the first week of cdl school. You don't have to wait until you have your cdl in hand. Job offers will be contingent on completing cdl school. Freymiller is a good choice. If for some reason Freymiller doesn't work out, then apply with Schuster and/or Britton Transport.
    If any of your classmates just want to run Eastern half of USA majority of the time tell them about:
    Veriha Trucking
    Crosby Trucking
    RWH Trucking
    Kruepke Trucking
    NTB Trucking
    Magnum Ltd. - coast to coast
    McLane Company - entry level driver training program
    Reinhart Foodservice - entry level driver training program

    Old Dominion Freight Line - linehaul division - need doubles & hazmat endorsements. Terminals in Milwaukee area and across the nation are now hiring new cdl grads due to a shortage of linehaul drivers. Old Dominion linehaul division is considered a coveted job. At one time a linehaul driver had to die or retire before there was an opening. With so many old timers retiring now, these premium jobs are becoming available to new young drivers.
    @Teddy_Salad

    CDL students should apply to as many companies as they are interested in, then take the best job offer. The more applications the better.
