Ok, I've kept my company quiet, and out of the spotlight for long enough. I've made the mistake in the past of crowing about a company - only to have them belly up like fish in a toxic lake. But it's been well over a year of employment here, and I have yet to find a serious beef. This company is AWESOME! I stumbled a bit when I first came aboard - as with anywhere - but once I found my footing, I've been running some serious "non micromanaged" miles. I for one, like that a lot. Let me share some of my experience thus far. Home time? Ya got it (within reason). Let them know ahead of time and your there. Pay? Ya got it. Be a strong, safe runner and you will make .50 a mile. Benefits? Meh - my health insurance sucks a bit, but it's not Magnum's fault. I lay the blame with Obama and his "tax increase" on the average working Joe. $500 a month is paid out to an insurance plan that I can't even access until my out of pocket cost's rise above 5K. Anyway - Region preference? I prefer to stay out of the NE, but will run it if they need it. We don't have HUT stickers, so NY is a thing of the past. Forced dispatch? Not really, but you want to be a team player here. When it comes time to request a region or freight lane, it's yours - due to you being a team player! Equipment? I'm currently in a 2015 Pete pulling a 2015 trailer. We don't operate junk - PERIOD. If ya manage to adopt some equipment that's not up to your standards, well, thank another driver for not reporting it. If it's broken - it will be fixed! Dispatchers? I have my favorites, and so will you. As far as I'm concerned, out of 5 - we have 1 outstanding, 2 capable, 1 marginal, and 1 who I can't politely classify. This is an ever evolving opinion amongst drivers, though. Management? Good, and the one I would most likely of critiqued has resigned recently. But it is an open door policy for everyone. This company also tends to value your thoughts and opinions on transportation matters. They also have Dedicated and LTL positions available, sign on bonus, and trainers too - for you newly minted CDL holders (why bother going to a starter company?). And, lastly....APU's are standard. I love my apu...............

These are people from North Dakota that started out with Flatbeds with removable sides hauling grain and steel. Then went to reefers, and then started a LTL division. Now they do most of the midwest with various terminals, have good freight and always seem to be growing. They pull a lot of long doubles in ND, and SD and Montana and it looks to me like they have their DUCKS in a row. Negatives, e logs.
Gambosa, Oldironfan, Road Killer and 3 others Thank this. -
