Even me... I quit, and I'm probably the most patient person there is. I put up with them for almost 4 years. Even through the first 3 months of this year where I was probably averaging 1300-1500 miles a week. The last straw was waiting half of Saturday, all day Sunday and half of Monday to pick up a load one weekend... I applied for the current company that Monday morning...
I make a lot more money here. Even with all the down time in this truck over the APU, I swear, Carrier shops are worse than Poly's shop. But I get actual breakdown pay, $17/hr up to 11 hours a day, vs. Crete's ####ty $10/hr up to 10 hours a day. Or was it 8? I can't remember, all I remember is it was crap. Anyway, unfortunately for most things APU, the truck has to go to Carrier to get it fixed, ugh.
Our shop though is pretty good. Longest I've had to wait to get the truck in is a few hours, most of the time they want me to pull it right in. None of this "day after tomorrow driver" crap I used to get at Crete. -
I like this,
Have you tripped the camera yet @Zantrix ? -
Shops at Crete work a little better since you can call in and reserve your spot in line. Got a b service Monday morning first thing at kc. I called in Sunday and told them I would be there sometime after they closed for the day. Makes it better.
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
I didn't know we could call a shop and set up an appointment.
Back to shorter loads, 13 and a half hour day today and 325 miles. Too much dock timexlsdraw Thanks this. -

I think SSB actually outpatiented Volvo. Wasn't it like 10 yrs? That's an awful long time to stick with a company that you dislike. I had a lower tolerance for the OTR industry than most. If there was a "Bang Your Head Against A Wall" award, I would certainly be a nominee.
Astoh Thanks this.
