There are both jobs and team jobs posting forums right here in the forum, might set up a thread in there to see if someone might hire you up.

of course CL isn't 100% fools proof, you still have to be careful. But I would say chances are better finding a company that doesnt use DAC services.

Yep, for sure. When i had 'issues' on my dac i went to a company on CL that had 12 trucks. They treated me right, paid w-2, but no benefits. Stayed there till i could get hired on at a better co.

Ive done very well with a paving out fit in Maryland. Several of my best years ever. Work until you cannot see anymore at night. When October 1st rolls around, file unemployment and sit home staying fit and rested plus healthy through the winter ready to work come first march.

Oh my parents ( Yes I actually lived with them... I think rents started at 700 in those days for a small cube. ) I could always stay on the farm in the barn loft too if I wanted. had a hard time with that concept. Work all year until you cannot see and then take off for several months and rest for the next year's big push.

I bet that Mack 500 super is sitting there under the barn loft ready to go minus maybe a few bald tires that needs changing even today. At one time it was a 5th wheel tractor trailer out of Somerset PA running Coal and they yanked the 5th wheel, threw in a nice aluminum dump bed and that was all that. And a 15 speed double under that just wont quit. Like a good woman all the night long.

Problem as I see it is, he [ @gcthomas ] likely wasn't informed by Schneider he had to be drug free for five years prior to signing on with them. That said he got tripped up with their questionnaire and just answered honestly. The red flag he missed was the question "have you done drugs in the past five years". That should have been a sign answering yes would be a problem with employment.
I've had to take a few psych exams/questionnaires over the years to be badged for nuke plants I've worked in. They've always told us prior to not overthink the questions...another-words, read between the lines..

IMO what Schneider did, if he wasn't asked [ "have you done drugs in the past five years"] prior to employment is wrong and I'd be sitting down with a lawyer for a consult to have the DAC report removed. Sometimes paying a lawyer to send a letter can move mountains.

Even though I'm about as anti illegal / legal drug and alcohol person as they get, I'm siding with the op on this one. The questionnaire should have been given prior to even a pre-hire...it should have been asked on the original application..

To the op, it don't matter. Just apply to other companies and if they ask (which many wont), tell them there was a communications problem and you misunderstood what they said, if they push it, just tell them that.
