Just couple last questions what are your start and ends times range from ? How's the 401k and do you see yourself there for a long time ? How is the whole process of getting orientation? Thanks for all the help

Glad to help. They have a good 401k plan and they just made it so employees may sign up for it from day one instead of waiting 60 or 90 days, which is nice for new folks. Orientation down in York was a piece of cake. It was only two and a half days of mostly sitting in a room watching videos, talking, & taking tests. Nothing out of the ordinary or stupid. As far as my start/end times they vary. I choose to run overnights because I like less traffic and I'm a night owl. I start anywhere from 5-7pm and I'm almost always done by 6am, sometimes sooner and once in a while a bit later. I rarely bump up against my 14 but if I have enough hours left to do something short, I'll ask and see what the office may have. More hours, more money ya know. I know guys that start around 2am, some around 5-6am and so on. It's really up to you. You tell them what you want to work and they'll make it happen. There is enough work so they can usually fit in the schedule that you want and, at least in Carlisle, they always try. I can't speak for York. Although I deal with the night dispatchers in York as there is no one in Carlisle at night but I've never had any bad experiences with them to date. Hope this is helpful.

So you commute from Spring Run, PA to Carlisle, PA every day?

I saw they have a local job posted that says Shippensburg, would that be out of York or Carlisle?

That would be out of Carlisle then. Probably running Georgia Pacific out of Ship, like I do.

So your shift starts and ends in Ship? No commuting to Carlisle?

Nooo, the A&S terminal is on Shearer Driver in Carlisle. That terminal services all the accounts in Carlisle and the surrounding area. Yes, you will be commuting to Carlisle everyday.

    Apd Thanks this.

Good job getting out driver . I went to orientation with high hopes . They have such high standards and talk a big game on how they treat their drivers so well . Than they offer you 17.25 an hour straight pay . 58 hours to hit a grand . The going rate is easily 20 plus if it's straight pay . I did one run so I didn't have to pay back the rental car and drug test . Than I called the recruiter and told her she should be ashamed to offer drivers such low wages amongst other things . Thanks for wasting my time Kinard.

Hi. Was offered a job by kinard today. I have a pretty lucrative otr gig going but no home time. The kinard run is regional running out of the ports Mon to Fri. Money seems ok. Any body know much about container work with kinard out of Chester PA South of Philly? Thanks

What is the Hazleton PA account like? How are the shifts organized and what is the pay? They have an ad up for a local driver. I'm in albrightsville and considering the commute to working for them. Any overtime? Automatic trucks? Elogs? Was hoping to get 1000 a week after taxes. Seems like there's some people here who have worked that account. I read up about crappy dispatching. Has any of that changed or are people still being subjected to the 16 hour rule abuse?

They do have all automatic trucks. Most of them are 2014 or newer and all are Volvos. As for the dispatching tendencies, I don't know how is now, but they did run you right up against your 14, and use of the 16 hour exception was encouraged. They way they "used to run" was to be dispatched on a 6 to 7 hour morning load, then go back and get dispatched on a second 6 hour load. On e-logs in a daycab, it made for many stressful days, particularly on your afternoon second load.
