Anybody else get an email from Watkins/Shepard looking for drivers?

I filled out an application for them some 8 years ago when I was first looking to go OTR. I had been driving local but they had no interest in hiring me. Not only did they not reply. They would not acknowledge on the phone wether or not they received my application and certainly were't interested in hiring me.

Now some 8 years later I get this email stating they have my application but need it completed in order to hire me. WTF that was 8 years ago.

Is Schneider, now they bought Watkins, so hard up they raided the Job apps. file at Watkins Missoula, and started contacting drivers? Anybody else get this?

Longarm and free spirited1 Thank this.

I fillled out a card at the Bossleman's in Big Spring, NE for a complimentry Christmas dinner from JB Hunt. I get a Christmas card from them each year with a job offer.
I filled out the card in 1997, and they haven't missed a year since. Now, that's persistance.

Nah haven't gotten anything from them, and I actually worked for them for 6 months back in 2011/2012. They hired me out of driving school actually when I still lived in Portland.

I'd heard they sold out to Schneider. They were still kind of doing things the old school way even back when I was there which wasn't long ago. Not too surprised they got gobbled up by a mega.

Watkins Shepards recruiter in NC emails me a few times a year. I finally asked him why he keeps contacting me since I've never applied. His response was that he got my info from one of those trucker websites where you putting in a bunch of generalized applications at once. Might be the same situation for you

Did Schneider take away the stop pay? I remembered Watkins advertising they paid for all stops and that's gone from the current adds. I have a job where I do get paid for every pickup and every delivery. $15 might not seem like a lot but it adds up and it beats working for free.
