Loved stopping at that Montana Wheat store in Three Forks. Anyone know if it's still there?

I've had my run-ins with the PA Dutch. Off the NY Thurway same exit as Petro Waterloo I remember delivering some furniture to a big country and antique store some of them ran.

I found Mennonites brokering loads out of JLG in PA. They dress like Amish but have cell phones and cars.

The Amish dont care for jails. A couple years ago, the Amish homes were being burglarized in our county on Sundays when they were all gone to church. At the time I was a Detective so i went looking one Sunday morning and saw a red pickup pulling away from an Amish farm. Long story short, I tried to stop them and the chase was on with them pitching guns out the window. Chased them for almost an hour and into the next county where they crashed into a woods and bailed out running. Couple days later, figured out who they were and grabbed one who agreed to show us where they had pitched some of the guns. Along the way, I had him cuffed in the back seat and stopped at one of the older Amish houses to ask a question about who else might have been broken into and what they were missing. The old Amish farmer looks at the kid and tells me in that thick Dutch accent "you are gonna let him go arent you because we dont believe in English prisons?!" Ha.......i think not and off to jail we went.

When I did multi drop loads sometimes I would deliver to a company in Bunker Hill, Ohio. First time there I'm thinking some amish guys would unload me and I would help break it down to get out of there sooner. To my surprise it was around a 20 y/o very attractive female that did all the work, never saw a guy there ever. Ended up going there several times after that.

Wayne Dalton Door Co in Indiana is an Amish company. Made many pickups there years ago when I drove for Schneider. It's really kind of cool to come up to a four way stop sign with a couple of horses and buggies.
