True, unless you went to the restroom at the shipper/receiver and took a fifteen minute deuce. Plus some customers have a driver's lounge.

 

I agree but the book does say 'all time' at the customer has to be On Duty unless relieved. I guess you could say dropping a deutch is relieving oneself.

 

Company safety and the DOT will appreciate you taking some photos of the action and evidence when taking the deuce to prove the off duty activity.

 

To be extra careful, post all pics to your company's facebook page. As an added bonus, this will enable you to expand your work experience, as I'm sure you will be invited to utilize their exit door, with an ample warning to not let it "hit ya where the good Lord split ya"....

Wait, what?

I Log sleeper if I am doing an 8/2 and only if I am doing an 8/2... Other than that it's off duty. Never had it questioned once.

I can be laying in the bunk and be off duty, I can be sitting in the front seat off duty, I can be down at the taco truck off duty, I can be in the drivers lounge.

Logging sleeper doesn't prove a #### thing more than logging off duty. That just sounds like some Mega Safety/Compliance/Log Dept BS.

 

Are we gonna get on that again? By law your body is in the Sleeper, you *must* log Sleeper legally. Just because you have not been questioned about it doesn't mean you aren't doing it wrong and illegally. It falls under Log Falsification sir.

 

I also thought you have too have a letter in the truck from your company saying you can log sleeper/off duty at a shipper or receiver. I can't remember exactly what mine says but I know the last time I got audited I was told to put one in my truck. She handed me a preprinted copy to sign

Just log what you are doing. Never split winners. Double down on all 11's, double 10's except against and Ace. Never take insurance. Always take full odds allowed. Don't bet the circus bets. Always change your bet if you bet the same every hand or roll the house wins in the long run. If the girl hanging out on the corner is pretty, she is a cop. Sitting over the wing is the best ride. There is nothing wrong with going into the pool right after a meal. When talking to a woman, listen to her feelings not her words. Most snakes are harmless. Moth balls smell bad and it is too much trouble to get their tiny legs apart. And finally, don't haul cheap.
