I'm still a student in CDL school and I applied at Melton. I have a second phone interview tomorrow. Does anybody have any pointers or advice? Are they tuff to get on with? They are number one on my list list and I'd really like it to work out. Thanks for any input..

You'll get an integrity interview. These are trick questions in that you will be asked the same question 2 or 3 times in a different way to see if you give the same answer each time.
Rollr4872, CasanovaCruiser and BigGrumpy Thank this. -
Wow.....
Questions such as.....?
I'm curious myself. I have 3 interviews the next 2 days and 2 are for sure road tests. I'm about 75 percent sure which one I want though.Chinatown Thanks this. -
2) Are you attracted to older women?
3) In your opinion, does the discovery of an artificially created radio signal on a planet 95 light years away, mean there is other intelligent life in the universe? -
To the OP just be personable and sell yourself. It's not that hard since odds are they need you more than you need them. Get your licence and show them you retained a thing or two from school. Nobody expects you'll instantly know everything just because the letter on your licence changes. -
Relax, be honest and yourself!
If you don't get it, it simply wasn't meant to be.
Good luck!BigGrumpy Thanks this. -
Chinatown got it.
It's just to see if you're a person of character.
Answer honestly but if you don't at least remember what you answered.
They're simple questions, do you think stealing is okay, do you lie, do you use drugs, etc...
You'll be pulled aside for an in person interview during orientation where you'll be asked the same questions again, that's why it's important to remember your answers. It isn't anything to stress over, they're just selective in wanting employees that won't make them look bad. -
I'll add that none of the questions they ask really have anything to do with trucking at all ha
It really is just to see what kind of person you are. You've got nothing to worry about, and they know nobody's perfect.
I really think it's more to ween out the idiots who can't even cover their own ### because honestly, it's really easy to lie and say you've never drank a beer.
"I'm sorry, what exactly is marijuana, I took meth in high school but I barely passed with a C" lol -
The right move is to turn it around on them. What I mean is you interview them. Why should you choose them? What are they going to offer you? They need you more than you need them. That's my two cents.
BigGrumpy Thanks this. -
