Yes... It's totally irresponsible of the company to have someone pick up their life and start something only to be dumped on after the hope of starting something new in their life.

It says a lot about them and their company as to how they feel about the "meat in the seat" attitude they have about the driver they use, oops, hire.

I can tell you that is exactly what happened. Having to deal with the felony is something I've been doing forever. I am always upfront with it. I quit a job to go into trucking because I was up for promotion the felony didn't stop it as far as company policy but in the minds of the ones deciding it did. So I wanted a job that judged me on how I worked and thought I had found it. I want to be a truck driver. I am single no ties and was looking forward to it. If the recruiter hadn't of assured me it was so old it didn't matter I wouldn't of packed up my stuff and stored it. Trying to save what money I had for school and the rode time with mentor . Yes I made a mistake. And paid for it believe me but so many people say we deserve another chance but finding those who practice what they preach is almost impossible.

I couldn't agree with you more, I been out here many years as many of you have. For the most part it's sad that they do this to anyone, especially when she never hid it from them and even ask them 3 times!!

Forget Swift; other companies will hire you.
    Try these that hire felons:
    Big-M Transportation in Mississippi
    TransAm
    USA Truck
    PI&I Motor Express - flatbed
    Navajo Express
    Carolina Cargo - teams
    Carolina Logistics
    May Trucking Company

If the felony is a sex offence; that may be the problem with Swift and many other companies.

You'll probably get several job offers off that list then.
