I just interviewed for a job with Schneider this morning over the phone. The orientation sounds complicated.
-
It's pretty straightforward. I know that recruiters can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sound complicated though. 1st week classroom/yard/road training after you make it past the first day of paperwork and Med. exam. 2nd week out on the road driving with a training engineer. 3rd week Mostly class room, some yard time and then the finishing tests at the end of the week.
-
Starting orientation on Tuesday. Just wondered if anyone had any experiences in the last couple months.
-
I assume you're coming in as an experienced driver? It's basically four days of sitting in a hard chair and watching haz-mat and sexual harassment videos. By the time you'll finish day four you'll have enough and will just want to go home. Hope you don't get a roommate who snores. You'll get maybe two hours of solid sleep each night.

I went through it May 23, 2016. My thread is in the Schneider Forums
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
I'm still here. I'm in the Bulk division tho

It's pretty much exactly the same as when DFO's went thru. Check the sticky post in the Schneider subforum.
Only real change is the hotel (you'll be downtown GB) and I think training pay got raised ($80/day).
Please read thru the highway to success - particularly the chapters on work flow and trip planning. Ask questions, have some thing to write on/with to save questions and answers. Good luckCheese Wheels Thanks this.
