    Sometimes i fuel at xt9 i10 az and can run in and out without getting fuel in ca but a lot of the times i haveta grab 50 gallons or so do to the load being extremely heavy especially on trailer tandams

    Yeah, not a good fuel strategy tbh. You can get much cheaper fuel at non PFJ

    $800 from 3500 miles? There has to be deductions we aren't aware of. If one is new I have theories, but if you have been there for some time and you earned that paycheck, it's something missing. Either you bought a bunch of fuel near the end of the work week you didn't need that reduced your check or you are paying for previous debts. Somethings not adding up

    Never mind, I see his problem has been addressed. Pulling freight at $0.90 a mile plus fuel surcharge isn't going to help much driving the west coast neither. That's a starvation rate. JCT could at least give you guys a $1.05-$1.20 before the surcharge.

    Actually, from what I can see I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I had to make some broad assumptions with the limited info here and this is the fueling I got: (assuming you went from Tolleson to Salt Lake'ish for drop then Reno) 09/10 prices, pfj only.

    Tolleson,.......Az: 170 gal @$2.33
    Fernly,..........NV: 170 gal @$2.59
    Jamestown,.NM: 100 gal @$2.45
    Dallas,............TX: 170 gal @$2.19

    610 gal for $1,455 @avg of $2.38 gal which should leave about 140gal after Houston delivery. I figured the above fueling saved about $60 over what you did (very close, I know. I think I got more gallons for the same cost as you, that's where the $60 comes from) and assumed 7.5mpg.

    You're paying $0.11cpm for maintenance? I thought newer trucks were $0.05cpm? (I pay $0.12 soon to be $0.20) If so, that $0.06cpm is $218 you could get. $278 + $150(those cash advances) is $478 +687 (the check) = $1165. Plus the $91.50 fuel rebates for $1253 ish. Not quite so bad.

    That's still not enough but that's all I got. Don't forget the almost full fuel, too. Those tanks are like a savings account and shouldn't be dismissed. Started empty and ended almost full. There's money right there. $300ish to make $1553 equivalent.

    Use the loves and pilot apps for price checking. The efs route planner is good for indies.

    PS. If my checks were that low I would go elsewhere . jct needs to boost base pay to $1 minimum and this is a perfect example of why. That extra 10cpm would be $365 additional on that check.

    How were you able to block our your name and truck number on the pdf? I have a settlement similar-- over 4400 miles or so and $987


    I know I took a $150 advance and bought too much fuel but still that was a mighty shock.

    I've had the discussion with the upstairs office VPs about a raise. Never got anywhere, but I was told this once.

    As a carrier that does 60 million + miles per year, a penny raise translates to $600,000 expense to the company.
    In addition, the customers thai JCT uses are exactly high paying rate customers, but they do provide steady freight nationwide to all 800+ drivers we have.
    Not the answer I was looking for, but there it is.

    Not that this belongs in this forum but I need to say. If you take a cash advance from your settlement, it's not really fair to say you only made a certain amount with out adding the cash advance amount.
    It was a cash advance...
    From your settlement...

    Also I'd advise anybody that's not making what they think they should be to ask their dm for a mentor. I know Steel has said he agrees to mentor people every week and very rarely do the people call and follow through with it. JCT asks those very successful drivers to mentor for a reason...
