That's like asking which is the best car, or the best pistol, or the best shotgun, or "redhead, blond, or brunette"? Take a look at the comments in the forum threads on "report a bad company" and "Discuss your favorite" on the forum main page - there are a lot of posts there with pro/con on a ton of different companies. Sometimes, if you can get on with a small carrier as a new driver, you can get more personalized attention and direction than if you're part of a training mill. Other drivers prefer the anonymity that comes from being one in several thousand. This is a good industry, with lots of great people in it. Most drivers will give you honest opinions, and will help out if you ask them for information. Good luck

Depends on what you want. If your good with sweating your ### off, than any major that doesn't have apu's could be on your board. Depends on what you're expecting and seeking compared to how much or little you are willing to accept to make.

If you want lots of home time go with Old Dominion line haul.
    Do you have endorsements?
Do you want coast to coast or just stay in the eastern USA?
Your age; are you over 21,22,23 which is the minimum age for many companies that hire new cdl grads.

I'm 37. I'm up for options when it comes to distance.
