This is private property, you can't park there

Since when did an open strip mall parking lot, suddenly becomes a selective parking? Strip mall with a Walmart.

A new security guard just told me that I am not allowed to park here. I told him, Ive been parking here for 4 years with no problems. Plus there is no signs of Tow away zone fines and fees, or no truck parking signs. After #### chatting for a bit, found out he got his orders from his supervisor and his spv is sending a tow truck in. I said ok, Let me call the local police. The local police office sided with me. I even reminded them of a city ordinance stating It is Unlawful to tow any motor vehicle without proper warning signs, and indeed there is no signs stating tow away zone or no truck parking. There is no ordinance stating "ban" trucks from parking in strip malls.

SO I went home, 1 min away, printed a copy of the ordinance. The part where is says, its unlawful to tow away anything if there is no signs. I gave the new security guy the sheet and he gave me that usual "Im just doing my job" and his supervisor is insisting to come here and tow it. I told him, ok i will gladly wait for him since I have this week off.

If they do decided to illegally tow it, I will call the cops, and if the cops sides with them then I will take it to court. Im inside my car here parked next to my truck, I will update you guys.

If you guys started refuting problems instead of dismissing them, we wouldn't have such a bad image and reputation.

Heres my update. The tow truck and security supervisor did come and I called the cops. The cop defused the situation. He said "This is a private property but there is no signs saying trucks can't be parked or any tow away zones. Now I won't stop you from towing it away. Heres the thing, you cannot dictate or kickout anyone who comes into your business in terms of if that individual will shop or not. Just because a person comes in, looks around and doesn't buy anything, you can't just decided on your own to kick out that individual. This is how I see this situation and Im pretty sure this is how the judge will see it also, if this driver takes it to court".

So problem solved, and I get to rest at home peacefully.
