" A police officer shot and killed an armed man at an apartment complex Tuesday, authorities said, prompting angry street protests "
First paragraph I read.
I don't understand what the unrest is all about...he had a gun, he got shot, he died. Problem solve?sdaniel, driverdriver, bzinger and 6 others Thank this. -
What I find sickening is that the community, in essence, is rallying behind these gun touting, drug dealing, gang banging fools. They're basically saying #blackcriminalsmatter in too many cases.
Sure, there are a handful of absolutely unjust murders. Be outraged about them, because they're genuinely unnecessary. But most of these killings are because the people involved are NOT decent, law abiding, society furthering minded people.
Ya really want that #### on your streets, in your neighborhood #blacklivesmatter?
I believe most of these protesters have no clue what the hell is going on. They congregate and destroy. They're reacting, and primitively.BigHeadWeb, gokiddogo, Swedish Chef and 10 others Thank this. -
They aren't, but they also aren't what you said. After you've been one for a few years and have the experience, that's when you are capable of criticism, not before. How long were you a police officer?
-
You don't believe it's justified to destroy property and attack truck drivers who had nothing to do with the incident, while blocking a major roadway?
-
This is the point, destroying the property and injuring people that are innocent of any wrong doing is wrong no matter how you try to spin it....
Now, a cop shooting a person, may or may not be a good shoot, that's for the legal system to decide and punish, not radical protestors that go around destroying property, injure innocent people, and execute/ambush cops......What baffles me is why society tolerates this unlawful behavior, sometimes even supporting it....Until society stands up and says enough and tells the media, liberals, and the milktoast PC crowd to go pound salt, things will only get worse...
Two wrongs never make a right, no matter how you try to spin it or justify it...sdaniel, driverdriver, bzinger and 4 others Thank this. -
How is it justified? Those protestors promote exactly what is wrong with today's world. Its like what @KillingTime said. These protestors are doing nothing more than showing their support for the criminals of the community.pigeon river trucking Thanks this.

It's my fault. I was attempting to be sarcastic, but obviously I failed.
It isn't justified in any way. These folks aren't long term thinkers. They don't realize what the end result will be and they don't seem to care. -
People judge truck drivers all the time including law enforcement but that's ok isn't it?They've never been truck drivers but sure are quick to find drivers guilty no matter what but hey that's alright isn't it.I already know the outcome of both cases NOT GUILTY.People have lost faith long ago in the unfair judicial system. If one of us would have shot someone in self defense whether we kill the person or not we are going to jail.Cops are on paid administrative leave. You have your opinion and I have mine i'm not going to argue about it.BoostedTeg and KriegHund Thank this.

All lives matter. But to lose a life is a loss.
So the black or red, or white person got shot. Then what? The Law shoot him? Fine. Let's bring the Law to the review process to decide if the lawman is reasonably in danger of losing his or about to watch someone lose life. There is another shooting with trouble in Oklahoma where a unarmed driver was gunned down standing next to his drivers door (Window was up.. hands was up and so on..) Maybe a hand moved down towards the pocket or door handle and that would be enough to have someone to open fire.
Certain areas of the USA are sort of tribal. There is no law except what they want. Ive had too much of that over the years running into places where I walked into say a Patterson Bar filled with 60 hostile blacks staring at my white mutt at the door seeking directions. Unaware of the local racial and previous history with the riots etc. The largest one said, you turn second left and take that truck to the dock. Don't come here, you aint gonna make it. Beat it. They saw the 18 wheeler on the curb behind me. That saved me.
Come to find out I did not have to deliver to that particular distributor again.
LIfe is something that can be taken out in a thousand different ways.
If you are a people getting uppity and rioting as part of a race problem etc then I just point you back to the 1968 riots which are online for example Baltimore when DC established a Theater HQ, two div in reserve and invaded Baltimore with three to quell and crush the riots in about a week. We were moved out of Baltimore to a quiet suburb where there is no riot possible. Essentially if it is the Blacks burning and looting etc downtown, and you have whites who are behaving somewhere outside of the city, you are not going to have trouble. The 60's was a different time.
If you wanted to extend that further, there are field manuals which lay out civil Disorder up to and including artillery fires and of a nuclear use against a rebellious City. It's all there. Will it be used? no.
I think there will be a constant riot or trouble everytime someone gets shot by the Law. I could say to these people stop making trouble and provoke the lawman to shoot you stupid. Then 100 people come out and block a interstate? They will be removed and the road reopened. And the man it's still shot and dead. Rioting does not solve anything except bring out and expose the bad actors inclinded to do so. They can be collected and swept away.straaka Thanks this.
