Seriously? You don't want to live in a world where cops are non-existent or ineffective at stopping violent behavior. What you are seeing is collateral damage that comes with living in a society that is free, but not allowed to descend into anarchy. This is a societal problem not a race or police problem. Yes, there are more then a few bad cops and some good cops make mistakes, but this is nothing new. What is new, is a growing feeling of entitlement and many bad choices, by more and more people.
Or do prefer to live in a world of anarchy? Because the line between law and order, and complete anarchy is a very fine line, and cops are that line. Not judges, not politicians, not celebrities, not military service members, not captains of industry, not religious leaders .... cops and only cops.A21CAV Thanks this. -
You all are reading too much into what I'm saying.Of course there are some upstanding police officers.Three cops live in my neighborhood and one of those officers I talk to alot mainly about the rugrats that keep cutting thru his yard every day. What I'm saying is it happens far too often,a cop shot and killed yet another black man and nothing every happens to them.In the last five yrs how many young black men got shot by officers and how many of those officers were found guilty? If you're loved one got shot by an officer wouldn't you wanna seek justice?Officers have reinforcements to take down what they see as someone maybe being aggressive. They don't need to shoot to kill immediately.BoostedTeg Thanks this.

Everyone has the right to protest, as long as it is done in a respectful manner, and Charlotte is an example of disrespectful. Just my 2 cents, but instead of stealing and destroying your community, if you really cared and wanted to be a change agent, you would go down, apply for a job at the Police/Sheriff Department and make the difference you believe needs to be made. If you want the laws changed, get your legislature to change it.

I forgot to add, there has to be more to the story in Tulsa. If I am to believe the story, there was a guy just walking down the street and he was shot by police. He had to be doing more than just walking down the street, I have never seen multiple police units responding with their lights and siren, and a helicopter, to back up an Officer who stopped someone for just walking down the street. Why the massive police response? There is more to the story, but no one wants the whole story, and I will wait for all the facts to come out.

They are trained to aim for center mass. What you've killed can't kill you. I advocate for this in cases where a weapon is brandished at or against an officer. Stupid people have a knack for removing themselves from the gene pool. I've made my peace with that.
Today's criminals aren't walking the streets with baseball bats, crowbars and leather saps... They've got guns. Sometimes big guns. You'd suggest to me that you'd stand there and try to rationalize with someone who is armed and who wants you dead just because of the laundry you put on to go to work? There's no rationalizing that.
To iterate a prior point: how many white folk are gunned down by the police? The answer: more in #'s alone than black folk. The trick statisticians use is to say that the percentage of killings is greater within a certain group while making you believe it concerns the 'whole' group. For instance you have 100 whites and 20 blacks (because they're the minority) - kill an equal # of each, say 10. The statistician will, incorrectly say and qualify with some vague statement like ' overall more blacks are killed than whites' or ' the loss of black lives are greater than...' And statistically they'll paint a picture that because 10% of white folk died and 50% of black folks died by police shootings this makes the loss to the black community greater. Which as you can see is a bold faced, twisted and inciteful lie - each lost 10.
I agree there are good cops and bad cops. I also agree that when thrown to the justice system the bad cops are granted too much leniency. However, I believe there are more good cops than bad and if everyone would slow the #### down, quit playing the fool, buying the medias ######## and abstain from getting caught up in lifes vices - essentially seek to better society - we as the human race wouldn't have nearly as many social problems as we do.Last edited: Sep 21, 2016
HalpinUout, Hamburger71, Chinatown and 2 others Thank this. -
He was high on PCP, stopped his car in the middle of the road, left it running with the door open, and ran away yelling that it was going to blow up. Then when the police arrived he continued to behave erratically and ignored commands.
None of that justifies shooting the man, but you can see why the situation made the officers on edge. -
How do you know he wasn't going back to the car to make it blow up? If someone told me it was going to blow up, my first thought is a bomb, then if that same person were to go back to the vehicle, how do you know what their intentions are? Is there a bomb, is he going to cause it to blow up?

People (any color) who can't manage drug use, but do it anyway need to be exterminated today before they kill somebody tomorrow and have some guilt ridden jury effectively slap their hand. Street justice. Often times it works pretty good.
