I think that's simply the way they do things in that scrap yard. He took the time to line me carefully to the edge of the downslope and explained what he would do. What he DIDN'T explain was the part about pushing the ENTIRE load in one shot, dunnage and all. I wasn't even considering the possibility that some of those two ton 40' collars might twist and get real close to taking out my tires.

I will say this, that's the fastest unload I've had.

Mine was 6, and the owner having a yelling match with the loader who refused to take off 2 skids, said all or nothing. Boss said, nothing then, get it off my truck or i will sell it for scrap. :)

Did you hear anything like, "That's how we always load it and nobody else has complained?" You get bonus points for that.

Sounds like you may have been setting both tractor and trailer brakes on the scale.

Don't be the victim like this driver, happened just before I got pulled in at a Loves. Took a wrecker with a boom crane to unload the big industrial sacks and the transferred them unto a flat bed. Heard the trailer had a weak floor, others said it was the shipper loaded wrong. Anyways I was outta hrs by the time Loves replaced a bad trailer tire, so was their for a 10 break. They got everything completed lIke 14 hrs took. No DOT due to at Loves, but the driver obviously wasn't a happy camper. Happened on 9/11 2 to 3 weeks ago.
