You are welcome. You will be surprised that most new drivers have no clue to the subtle tips to backing that affects their success or failure. I would like to somehow cut down on that by sharing what i know.

Big Don and Boattlebot Thank this.

Relax. It will come with time.

Like with most things in life, the more you do it, the sooner it will become second nature.

I think some are electric steering nowadays,. I just learned about the new disk systems for trailers availible now. Disks would be the cat's meow.

Backing came pretty quick for me (growing up in the country you learn how to drive random stuff early on). In my experience, 80% of backing up is proper setup. I'll usually get the trailer to break over in the direction I want it to go, then make small corrections to guide the trailer to where I want it.

Pretty judgemental for a guy that can't back.
Who told you that? Your supertrucker dad?

Been driving solo for close to a year now and I still struggle with over steering.

Then have an opinion on transmissions...

every one has an opinion... that's fine...

but why attack a whole group of people for their choices, opinions, and preferences.

I prefer Pepsi therefore all Coke drinkers are lazy and must sit down to pee... ignorant!!!

That's seems to be for straight backing... do you have one for oversteering while trying to hit a hole between two trucks? Either sight side or blind side?

That's where my oversteering is the worst.
