    They went with a different software package for managing loads.

    When the new software went live Sunday night it reset everything on the Qualcom to zero. Driver were supposed to download their last week or two of logs before that happened.

    I'm still on a load from the old system so I haven't had to deal with a new dispatch yet. But I just realized that I didn't redo my load info tab Monday morning. Guess I better do that now.

    The new dispatch sucks worse than the auto trans. You have to reply for every little step; like leaving for the deadhead, arriving at the shipper, leaving the shipper, blah blah blah. I still haven't delivered the first load on the new system.

    Thank god for the hour and minute calculator app on my phone.

    Good luck to all, after 1.5 years I'm off to drink some different kool-aid.

    Its so confusing even my dispatcher messes up and gets mad when I call asking him whats the next step, so that I don't mess up my "electronics" as they call it. This company is so concerned with stupid bs like this its ridiculous. This new dispatch system is more of micromanaging you, of course with no extra pay.
    They bought new trucks, new equipment, redid inside their warehouse, added bays to their shop in Cheney yard, repaved parking for bobtails, installed cameras in almost all the trucks (supposed to be in ALL trucks by the end of the year)
    Only thing they're not concerned is giving raises to drivers who've been working here several years now.

    Yeah that having to reply through multiple screens for every step of the dispatch promises to be a real pita. I also don't like the fact that you have to assign a barcode sheet to the load in order to send the empty call. I don't usually have 20 minutes to mess around sending in an empty call. I need to push a button and get out of the consignee's lot so the next guy can get unloaded.

    Well these new dispatches do indeed suck. You get 2 messages per drop on a multi-drop load and each message has to be replied to twice. I have 9 drops on this load so I've got 18 messages to deal with and the header for each one looks something like:

    O# 3008743 ADD-A 11 / 12 - WI

    Very informative.
