I can understand that you feel that way about California. The homes out here cost over 500k+ just for a so-so house that is not worth it.

I moved to Oregon in 03. I will never move back there. There is nothing to go back to.

@drvrtech77 has a really good point. A US route cut 200 miles off a route from Great Falls MT to Missoula MT versus going on the interstate.

I've been at Swift a little over two years and as long as I make my deliveries they never bother me. They don't micromanage me. If I don't think I can make it on time with a certain load I tell them when I think I can make it and if that doesn't work they take the load off of me. If I'm feeling unwell I just send them a message and set my time of availability out. If anything there are too many loads, I like relaxing for two days.

That is good that they don't micromanage you. Is it true that Swift transportation that you have a camera on you 24/7?

Company trucks have cameras. Only records a critical event when triggered. When off duty you can cover it up if you want to.

Soon they will be able to film you with the driver facing cam in real time. You will recall when these cameras came out the driver facing camera cheerleaders came out in force claiming it was impossible for the companies to see you in real time, impossible amount of data to film 24/7, that the cams only film in little 4 second clips and are immediately deleted unless you are doing something wrong at which point the cam saves the 4 second clip and an additional 4 second clip, so innocuous and innocent.

Well folks, the next generation of cams is here, and they want to film you 24/7 and no little lights to let you know when they are spying on you.

New camera system lets bosses see you in real time
