So no more cards to get ruined in our wallets and just this certificate to keep on file, or is there still cards? I'd like to believe that the authority doing the check up can just look it up on his computer, but that would probably be way too easy, can't have that.

My first one was the size of a business card, and it is now letter sized. My oldest is on the left, newest on the right.

Actually that is it. Now that we have to register out medical to our license (Sec. of State in MI, Dept. Motor Vehicles in TX) there really hasn't been a reason to have the card for the last couple years anyway. They are finally just making it official now I guess.

....And has to be carried at all times then I'm assuming? That's really handy the way they resized them. Another big clump in my wallet, and not meaning MONEY either, lol...

We've been on the self-certification bandwagon for 2 years now here. The doctor's are supposed to do the registration to our state, but they didn't both times, so I went ahead and did it myself so I didn't have any problems.

Yeah, no doubt that's right. I'll punch 3 holes into mine and put it in my anal retentive document binder.

According to DMV in order for it to be valid DMV must have it and update my online record. The old green card you just had to have it on you, and DMV could take their sweet time. I have not found anything that states it can be left at home, so I carry it in the binder with my paper logs.

For years guys have been going into a truckstop and buying the complete JJ Keller medical file, filing it out with Dr Feelgood's name and phone number, betting the authorities wouldn't call and verify. You can carry the piece of paper if you like, at least it is a computer generated form and a little harder to fake, but the real magoo is in the computer at your state license bureau. And we all know they never make a mistake...

So there goes the 550 lb. sweat panted, sandal clad buffet bouncers meal ticket. Blood pressure's been 250 over 100 for the past 5 years, 24" diameter neck...snores so bad the curtains ends up in his mouth...now what's he gonna do?
