If I need to park at a Wal Mart with signs I always go find the manager and ask
Laredo Wally is posted
I bobtailed into it last week then went and asked, showed him where I was parked
He said no problem
And there wasn't
It's even better if a manager will put it in writing and sign it.pattyj Thanks this. -
Why do people keep bringing up that a No Trucks sign is different than the one posted? You could use the same argument with that to say that No Trucks doesn't specifically say no CMV which is what the ticket is for.
What I find interesting is the Easton city code never mentions the word commercial anywhere in their parking regulations. How do you get a ticket for illegal CMV parking then? There is the obvious signed private property stipulations but that still wouldn't be a CMV targeted ticket.
The fact of the matter is when you see any of these signs you should assume you shouldn't be parking there regardless of having a trailer or not. Especially considering they threw in RV on to that sign it should have been obvious.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Alright @freightwipper , the heck with the ticket talk....how'd Ya do at the Sands?

I looked up the ordinances for Bethlehem PA. Definition for commercial vehicle:
1302.21 Commercial Vehicle
Any motor vehicle which is required by law to bear any license plate other than that issued for passenger car use. Also, any motor vehicle including passenger cars which by reason of a characteristic coloring, or marking exceeding one (1) square foot in area is identified or commonly associated with any business, industry, or public agency, shall be considered a commercial vehicle within the terms of this Ordinance. Other passenger cars used in business by a resident shall not be considered a commercial vehicle.
So you're definitely a CMV.
I also looked up all the possible parking statutes that might apply, both for Bethlehem and the various townships that might have been involved. Unless it's something very different (would be helpful if he posted the exact violation), the fine is $50. -
Was doing terrible at first, as everybody was cropping out right away sooooo I was like screw this like me bet against everybody (don't pass line) so that worked out and I ended up making my money back and then a few dollars and was like screw it let me get the heck out of here.
Didn't make any friends at the table though lol.scottied67 and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
What does the ordinance say? If it says anything like violation of CMV parking restrictions, you probably will lose because a truck tractor is considered a CMV.

And people are still getting locked on the signage. The signage means nothing. This is a city ordnance ticket. It's whatever the city has defined as a cmv. The signage is there out of courtesy. Again the signs can say no UFO parking and a bobtail is still getting a ticket as the city ordnance says cmv.

Still like to know how much the ticket was for
