I'm thinking about putting an app in with these people. I don't need to make a lot of money. My main priority is home time. Is it true about 2 weeks on and up to 11 days off(assuming you run the 2k a week)? Every time you go home you could take 7 business days off?
-
Basically yes, I've heard different stories but I always go by you gotta stay out at least 10 days and you can be home 7 business days.
I've always stayed out between 2-4 weeks and the longest I've stayed home was 9 or 10 days. I've never had an issue so that's what works for me.Sea0fgreen Thanks this. -
Yeah, I'm still working here. I'm broke down in a hotel. Probably get my truck back sometime after thanksgiving. ..... Oh I forgot, it's an International, maybe I'llget it back after news years.

xlsdraw Thanks this. -
Yes ! 7 business days can actually be 11 days, because in 7 business days you usually will have 2 weekends. That's not true if the first business day you take off is a Tuesday or a Wednesday.

That's like saying money can't buy happiness. -
I can't remember last week but I can remember when SSB was thrilled with Poly.
4mer trucker Thanks this. -
Honestly...I had a few good times there and made a whole lot better money then where I am now...but you know that silly self imposed rule about never going back that I have...but I do owe an apology to the people of Poly for my insulting comments, in many ways, I had it better over there than my current situation.xlsdraw and 4mer trucker Thank this.

Yeah...if Poly only bought reliable Tractors and had a REAL PM Program
Think of the possibilities
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!xlsdraw Thanks this. -
From what I have read on that other thread you are a hell of a lot stronger than me to have gutted it out this long. Ghost miles, "steak money" for having to deal with the too often frustration of refrigerated freight, jumping through various hoops on a sliding pay scale and elogs among other crap seems like some bad voodoo Marie Levoie would concoct for truckers that had disappointed her.
