How long does a dq last?

I worked for Fedex contractor for a year and half. I was in a accident on 08/25/16 where I was not ticketed but was classified as a rear end accident. The lady in the car had whip lash. She was not ticketed either. The cop did not put me at fault.

There was a accident of the side of the highway and there was a fire truck in the break down lane. I went into the left lane to paas the accident safely. There was no traffic ahead of me at all. But the car behind me decided to pass me in the right lane as we passed the accident. As she passed me she. cut directly me in front of me and slammed on the brakes for no apparent reason. I ended up hitting her.
    Fedex dqed for this accident.

I did just switch to a different contractor when I made the switch my old contractor did not like this move. The two are "rivals" so he went to Fedex and said i got these logs from few weeks back of him speeding in the same area 3 times. So me switching contractors and the speeding logs put me under Fedex bad boy list.

AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED MY FIRST TRIP OUT??? The accident.....So this did not go well . nobody will give me any answers and everytime I call the terminal to get ahold of the safety guy he is always busy and won't return my call.

This is a big time slap in my face. Everything is going down hill. I am hired on to a company but have no motivation at all to even leave my house. I had the perfect job for my self. And now I have nothing. Mostly my fault for trying to switch to different contractor. I regret it.

Any suggestions? Only problem I had with this company. Only place I want to drive for. Everything is so straight forward here and pay is great. Great home time also.

Give up on FedEx because they will never hire you again; they have so many applicants to replace you.
Are you driving now for anyone? Take what you can get, then later can be hired by another line haul company; maybe 2 yrs.
You need to keep that cdl active if at all possible.

So you are looking for other work then. Forget about UPS, Fed ex etc forever. It's over.

Im not a expert in doubles, LTL package express and even small truck ORM-D ammunition deliveries (You should see about two ton of ammo in the back of the truck going to half of Arkansas when they deliver a thousand or so to my place...)

Keep looking. And put a dash cam into your vehicles. Next time someone stupid to set you up to ram them will be on video and the Courts will absolutely throw the book at her.

FedEx Ground is pretty strict when it comes to qualifying drivers.

Many accidents are a lifetime ban, others are either a 3 or 5 year ban.
If I remember correctly if you even get two seatbelt violations it's a lifetime ban.
Speeding 15+ over the limit in a personal or commercial vehicle is a lifetime ban.
The rules are written out in black and white, your contractor should've went over them and had you sign them when you started.

Don't give up on the LTL's yet. FedEx is about as picky as they come in selecting drivers.
YRC is dying for drivers and those guys can run #### over every couple of months and keep their job.

Most importantly - don't get discouraged. No matter where you end up, be it the holy grail of trucking or Swift, you didn't get hurt and you didn't kill anyone and that's something to be thankful for even if you did lose your job.

True, I drove for YRC Logistics and made decent money. They weren't too picky either about drivers. We had a few drivers that rearended other vehicles and weren't fired.
