If you're o/o camera's are optional
As far as lack of maintenance, they used to do B service (grease chassis, change out fuel filters) every 15K miles and A service, change all filters and change oil at around 30K. Later on they decided to do away with B service and do A service (oil changes) at one of the shops.
What was bad about it is if I was in Cheney yard for home time and I have like 3-4K miles til next oil change it wouldn't get done (too early) then I'd be on the road and oil change would be past due and I'd call about getting oil changed and they'd ask how come I don't get it done at the yard.
So basically they'd give me a run around about oil changes even though they didn't want to get it done at the yard while I was on home time. They contradict themselves in many ways.
As far as a lack of preplans-forget about it. If I ever got preplan it would usually get cancelled by the time I scroll down to the end of message to read it all.
Right now freight is slow, I just hope they choose next clown in the white house and get done and over it. I've got to make me some money. Supposedly freight is slow and not enough of it to keep everyone running. Taking a reset in Gary became a usual thing for me.

I agree.. Lack of preplans are wasting our time out here. I took a kubota load from ks to brownfield tx... South of lubbock. Delivered at 10am monday... Sat until 9am the next day when they had me head to ennis tx for a lowes load. Really? Couldnt tell me the night before? I live an hour from there and could have got through home again to appease the lady. More times than not I end up sitting overnight waiting for a load no matter how late... Or early... I deliver, or how often I send the ETA macro... Which is almost always. I just dont get it.. And have thought of going back to hauling heavy equipment again despite protest at home.

Their rule is first empty, first get next load. At least they say so, not sure what actually happens in the office.

I'm so glad to be running dedicated freight now. I never have to sit around waiting for somebody to find me a load.

Jumping in here.....
Thinking of running with system as a company driver. Currently in crap hole California. Wanted to get inside experience of how often you can see the house on the dedicated southwest account.
Possibly relocating to Las Vegas in a year also... So... Any info please? -
I used to get by the house at least once every two weeks. Then one time I asked them to keep me out for 5 weeks and I couldn't get a load that didn't go by the house
If you want company, I think they would be fine. I just didn't want company anymore.KoolKid Thanks this. -
The Phoenix fleet is perfect for Vegas. Would see home a lot. I liked the Phoenix fleet. Get home quite a bit but still made money.

If they wouldn't have went to auto's and cameras I'd still be there

Yeah I'm not a fan of autos at all! Driven a few and hate them. If the cameras are JUST forward facing I wouldn't care.
Rugerfan Thanks this.
