I did that once. Six months later the shelves and benches were over filled and i was parking outside again.

It's not a matter of accumulating things, we just moved in a few months ago. Cleaned out the storage unit up north less than a month ago. Gotta sort and sell stuff, like my bike.

    blairandgretchen Thanks this.

It won't hurt too bad. I only paid $150 for it, not running. Still in the same condition, haven't had time to work on it. I'm just going to buy a newer bike in cash.

I've had a 7 year struggle with that shop. My last ditch attempt was to ban the neighbor from storing all his tractors and stuff there, and fill the machine shops dumpster with accumulated junk.

Anything worthwhile I leave on the roadside by where I park the trailers - and someone mysteriously takes it away.

We come into this world naked wet and hungry . . .

Blair, last year you inspired me with your amazing work ethic, but this year you took it up a notch by putting just as much effort into learning new parts of the business & working smarter (this at a time when many of us were content to sit around complaining about how it isn't 2014 anymore). And all the while you, and especially Gretchen, were picking up the slack in caring for family.

You're both incredible people and I wish the very merry Christmas you deserve.

    Awwwww thanks man!

We don't consider ourselves any more special than the average, but I sure appreciate the flowers.

By the way - have you been drinking any?

Yep nice work. I know you talked about getting rid of that stretch trailer after that lady agent left you hanging right after you bought it. Just my opinion but I think it would be a mistake to just up and sell it now. Hang onto it. It's a money maker when you find work for it. And all of this freight is like that anyway. More will come along. And it'll go away just as suddenly too, that's trucking.

Merry Christmas to all of you from the Pacific Northwest.
Hope the shoulder will get better soon.
I will head out tomorrow again. I see you improved your numbers I will do my final accounting when doing my reset in Alaska. My total is down from my first year, but I only worked ten month this year. Overall I'm really happy with the outcome. I paid my truck off and bought a newer trailer for cash too.

On the concrete slap, I had a 6" fibermesh reinforced slap pored in my RV shelter and gave it about 10 days before parking on it. I went with a trowel finish and had it sealed too. Makes clean up nice, but can be a bit slippery at times.
