I run 2,492 miles a week. I see one customer and spend 45 minutes there. It has nothing to do with being a p••ssy. It's about leaving home, performing a job, and returning home.

Tucker you stay out for a month. I spend three nights a week in the truck. No way in hell am I sitting on a dock for two hours or more several times a week.

Maybe you don't spend 2 hrs or more at a dock several times a week, but there are thousands who do. Especially in the grocery industry.

So running legal won't hurt you one bit, you reset every week and have quick customers.
Unless you nap and stop at every exit you would never come close to a 14 hour day.
    Good deal

Exactly! I addressed that in my previous post. No flippin way would I allow someone to whiddle away my valuable time while an elog is dictating my time.

Electronics, here to take the stress of everyday decisions away. We will not steer you wrong, and you will never have to think for yourself again. I'm sure many believe in Elog just as they do GPS....?

Well, I for one am awful glad I had mine for all the years I had him...He, along with a few others that thought of me as their son, taught me what I needed to know about most everything in life, including truckin....They're all gone now, and I sure do miss em....As I reflect back though, I realize that I should've listened more and talked less....
For some things technology is good, but for most things it's not....I stand by the old ways were likely the best way...The less gov't regulation the better....But don't fret about disagreeing with me, once my generation is gone, you youngun's will have it all to yourselves....

It can happen, however that would be the worst case scenario. Normally I can cover about 300-400 miles a day with unload and re-load in 14 hours if no unusual delays. Don't forget about fueling and breaks to eat or use the restroom. In reality you drive 7-8 hours a day instead of 11.
And what about if you delivery appointment is at 2 am, then you have to finish your work at 3 pm, and start the next day at 1 am.

    Obviously.
So....If I understand you correctly, in a so called capitalist nation, even though I can plan my trip and have never had a log violation or an at fault accident, you think I should be forced to spend money on a machine because the megas want a level playing field?

Hopefully he does this and I can get a truck for decent money instead of looking at Pre-2000 trucks at ridiculous prices
