Check with the local technical colleges in your area. You may be able to receive financial aid and grants to get you CDL. You must apply to the school before any funds are distributed.

Most states have grants for people out of work to get there CDL through community colleges. Check with local colleges or job centers in your area. I paid 200 out of pocket for my CDL and owed nothing else. And got to choose the company I went to work for.

My local job center sent me to the community college where I went to school at. I took the test in the truck I drove in school. And the instructors administered the test

Do a search for WOIA Training, if you are unemployed and your state participates they will pay for your school. Some Community Colleges also have classes for very little cost.

You don't even have to be unemployed, just underemployed. In Texas you apply for the WOIA through the unemployment office, it takes a few months to get a slot but they even cover your motel room and give you 10$ a day for meals.
