About 3 months ago 7 of us drivers were asked to leave the FlyingJ in Vandalia Oh.because we could not find a place to park as it was full and as usual, just like other drivers, we had to make our own spot, we were not in anybody's way. I'm on elogs and was out of hours and in the sleeper, told the guy that and he said I feel sorry for you but you cannot park here. Then last night I was at the FlyingJ in Walton KY. and in the middle of the night they knocked on the door and said I have to move, I was not in anybody's way and did not block any traffic, then last week a friend stopped at the FlyingJ in South Beloit IL. for coffee and parked in a reserved spot that was not marked with a sign, some guy jumped all over him for doing that. Has anybody else been hassled in a FlyingJ ? I know some of you are going to say you should not park in a no parking zone, ya know what? tough. if it gets a few more driver's off the road to get some rest then so be it. it just seems FlyingJ is getting aggressive with this and it's the wrong thing to do I feel because of the parking shortage out here. It's a bad deal and sometimes you just get into a bind.
FlyingJ,no parking asked to leave.

I thought no "no parking" was code for big trucks park here.

I think you guys are missing the point, when you have no options it's to bad that this happens, other truck stops leave you alone. If you guys are that perfect then come out here and fix the parking problem instead of coming on here with smart xxx comments.

We are seeing less and less places to park on the Canadian Prairies too. Generally not a problem, but it's heading that way.
Part of this problem is of our own doing. Several of the smaller mom and pop places have closed up, as a lot of drivers now a days have pretty much a complete kitchen in our trucks. A lot of fellows only use truck stops to park and use the bathroom without spending a dime inside.
I always at the very least buy a coffee.DDlighttruck, Neal buddy, DRAGON64 and 5 others Thank this. -

I can probably count on one hand how many times I had to park creativity. I never got hassle, I paid with points if I need to use a paid parking. I wake up early and run till the afternoon and find a spot. spend overnight at Walmart and customer with permission. Spend nights at rest area with and without bathroom, even in the middle of a field at a customer.
Maybe u think you're not blocking anybody but you probably are. Like those pee brain who kinda block the scale making us have to pull thru and back up into the scale.Canned Spam, Tb0n3, MachoCyclone and 12 others Thank this. -

personally I'm glad to see a truck stop enforcing "no parking" areas. This is the first I've seen it happen. Most of the time time, truck stop employees don't even know there is a parking area on their premises. Trucks parked in red zones, in unstripped areas, double parked wherever with no enforcement. Now that doesn't help you in your situation, but that's trucking as they say.
