I simply do not live in the same cab as me when there is a difficult day going rather badly in battle. Does that make sense? When the monster begins to rumble and emerge and I start to mistreat people with words and profanity which is silly because all those windows ensure no one hears a #### thing. Then I start to plot a way out of this. Sitting inside Kennetts Square of Philadelpha PA or near the Navy Yard with roaming Parasites by the water or somewhere in between... it rots your very bones. Makes you cry out for the waters or manna from heaven by a Merciful God who has now heard your entreaties to release you from your 50 years wandering in a exhaust fume filled prision.

    HA.

I make the best of it. My humor is so bent I work on to twist it further until I laugh. I'll take two words like Cackle Crate and start working on that concept mentally. Turning the trucking crate into a laugh box with a bunch of hyenas laughing inside of it. And so on. Until I have a truck full of laughing animals inside my mind.

The result is a release of tension in battle. You can laugh or you can cry. But you CANNOT sit there like a toy soldier in 8th and I unable to do anything at all. You are HUMAN. Get it out of your system before you get someone pernamently OUT of our society.

I was taught a long time ago, the only way to move cattle fast is slowly. Them boys that load with a hot shot and a yappin ### dog are only in my way. A sorting paddle and a few soft whistle's, talk to em in a calm voice as there going up the ramp and they flow better.

    Truckin is alot like that

I worry about the things I can control, and don't worry about the things I can't.

There are a number of things that piss me off. Incompetence and stupidity lead the list. I can excuse ignorance, but stupidity, no...sorry. (the difference, ignorance is when they don't know any better, stupidity is when they know better, but do -whatever- anyway...and down here where I live it is usually preceeded by the words "Hey ya'll, watch this")

Those guys are 4-wheelers in a big truck. Besides, you can't walk as quickly when you are wearing socks & flip-flops. You might miss out on splashing through the puddle of who knows what between the closest fuel pump and the truck stop. My last week before vacation, I saw a lazy piece of crap asleep at the fuel pump. Every time a truck set his brakes at the fuel island this guy startles awake and then goes back to snoozing. There were at least 30 empty parking spots in the truck stop.

Those of us on the clock are monitored by the minute or have appointments at certain times or are trying to get somewhere before a certain time at which point 3,000 plant employees start their epic rush to the same 3 fast-food restaurants and said march turns a 1/2 mile road into a 15 minute stop& go game of "how many cars can get in front of a truck in the next 6 inches. Funny how when I tell the customer to "relax, it's just a few minutes" they lecture me about Just-In-Time while when I ask then "how much longer?" they don't understand why it matter. Or maybe my truck is due back for the next driver and anything more than a wasted 15 minutes in a shift means he starts late and that means he ends even later and that means I start even later tomorrow than that. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
