The journey begins - purchased a truck.

Good luck.. I just bought a truck myself a week ago and I am having problem with it. It struggles to go up hill and when I accelerate it struggles to catch up speed.. I have changed the filter but still does it.. added diesel treatment still having the problem.

 

Start a thread. Give details on the make and model of the drive train. I've been there, but solutions will vary.

 

It's an 06 Freightliner columbia Detroit engine 60.

 

EGR?

 

The computer is my egr is not responding.

It could be the Delta Air Pressure Sensor, the VPOD, or perhaps the Turbo Actuator throwing out the code. When I was in that truck it was a gutless wonder until the owner finally threw in the towel and removed the EGR system and installed a standard fixed blade turbo and reprogrammed the ECM. Then it became a hill pulling champ.
