Ever had this happen ?

    I had that happen one night at our terminal in Newark NJ. My manifest for the rear pup indicated a load of furniture weighing approx. 6000 lbs. I look in the trailer and see it loaded nose to tail with 55 gallon drums. :eek:

    Been doin reefer ltl many many moons....just about rule#1......Always go on dock.....show them what is theirs.....make sure that all they take....then make sure loads resecured.....dock plate is off trl......door is closed&your unhooked if applicable....then leave......rinse...repeat..

    They won't always allow us on the dock, it varies from demanded to forbidden.

    Most places get it right, unless shipping (we're captive to the parent company) or sales messes it up, like long or short counts. It happens, but not that often.
