So rather than really punish someone for doing something so stupid, wreckless, and very possibly illegal all the rest of us have to suffer. We're headed to Mega Carrier status with this crap.

 

The sad part is I have to agree with this statement. Now I wasn't there and don't know what happened first hand, but I had heard a rumor about something happening with one of our "mentors" in KY. If this is the other half of the rumor I heard then I wish they would just fire him. It's hard to say that because I REALLY do like the guy but......

Anyway, 2 years here and I have yet to check a car out. It will probably be 2 more before I do. It sucks that it's not really available now but I think I can manage.

 

Has anyone looked at the accessorial rate list? I didn't know there were so many things we didn't get paid for.

You mean on the new board? It probably hasn't been updated right. Look on the old contractor web. It shows the rate and the percentage the truck gets for each item. But most of that stuff is just hold over from the regulated tariff days. Doesn't really apply in todays world. Seriously a separate charge for using chains? Good luck getting a customer to pay that.

Gotcha. Ya almost none of that applies in today's world. Only reason 99% of that stuff is on there is the fmcsa still requires common carriers to publish their tariff rates, even if it's no longer required to follow them.

 

So why are van trailers Z now? It has a Z in front of the numbers lol

 

Might be the fact that they changed from leasing them to renting them.

 

Never saw it on the old board. Now I'll have to go look to see where it is.

Just went to check on a couple loads of interest on the new board and every one of them had a driver assigned and was already dispatched, some of them days ago. The same loads did not show up on the old board.
