I agree, this country was founded on LEGAL immigrants. I don't know about your ancestors history, but mine came here legally. They had to prove who they were, they had to have a sponsor, they had to prove they could sustain themselves financially before finding work, and they had to pass a medical inspection before they were given permission to enter. If it was good enough for my ancestors (I'm a third generation US citizen), it's good enough today.

See, he lied by omission because he didn't finish his sentence. The only way they would be able to keep their doctor or their insurance is if their insurance surpassed what the ACA's mandatory requirements for insurance was, and the doctor was going to continue to take Medicare/Medicaid patients or their insurance plan.

A tariff? When did he say that? There are many ways to make Mexico pay for it. It can be cutting off aid to Mexico (hundreds of millions each year go to Mexico). He can make it impossible for Mexican nationals to send remittances back to Mexico (in the double digit billions each year) by forcing the institutions who transfer the funds to require legal documentation. No legal documents to prove you're here legally? No transfer of funds back home. Much of the money being sent back to Mexico is not taxed, and a good percentage of it keeps the Mexican economy going. There are ways of making them pay without a real conflict. We could defund the Meridia Initiative which gives Mexico billions in US tax dollars to secure THEIR southern border. Trust me, there are many diplomatic ways to persuade them to accommodate us.
