DC was a huge challenge...I drove there as a student, I knew the area a little, and my trainer was busy snapping pictures of everything I pointed out...

That's the library of congress, click click: Jefferson memorial, click click: That black suburban over there is the Secret service wondering what a 53 foot van is doing this close to the white house, click click.

We picked up a piece of art at the Kennedy Center. No loading docks for these dudes, we were told to pull up to the front door. That is the Kennedy Center, click,: that is Watergate, click, click.

It was tight corners, narrow streets, cars parked on both sides right to the corner so tail swing was as critical as every other potential crunch area...

Fun trip looking back...as a rookie, had to have that air ride seat surgically removed from my clenched cheeks!

Yep. I vote Boston. To be fair, I haven't driven a truck in LA or in Miami. But I lived in D.C. for years so I understand the traffic patterns there well enough to know when to avoid certain roads and where the other ways around are. Haven't driven a tractor trailer in NYC but used to drive straight trucks there and it's actually pretty easy unless you miss a turn...

    Boston is the worst

There is NOT a major city that isnt a pita at one time of another---but you can get just as messed up in small town USA--lol
And this is a debate that never ends--but the one city that always seemed to get left out is New Orleans---make 4-5 drops in and around the quarter w/me...and the lets talk about NYC---lmao

Be careful in every city...and town, and village, and on the open road. Never let your guard down.

NY is the worst. Everything is toll, low bridges, tight streets and shippers/receivers everywhere, discourteous drivers, hellacious traffic. L.A. traffic sucks but overall it's pretty easy to navigate and I've always had courteous drivers when needing a lane change, etc.
As someone already mentioned, Pittsburgh sucks ### in every way. Hate that place and sadly am there WAY too often...

NYC would be the one on your list. Atlanta is just plain annoying!

I think Philly is the worst. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It's a free for all. I have one regular stop that you have to stop, wait for a break in traffic, then blindside down a one way street (THE WRONG WAY!) for 2 blocks. It's tight as you'll ever see and if you don't get it right the first time you have to pull forward, drive around the block and try again. I've seen many drivers just give up.

At least NYC has truck routes that make sense.

Boston is 2nd worst to me. Same reason as Philly, no planning or organization regarding truck routes
