Like every other company it's all about the driver, we take care of our drivers. Always a joke no matter where you go.
I came on board never using ELD's, I was told not to worry I had a probationary period to learn the ELD's.
At the end of my probationary period I received a check showing a decrease in mileage pay without any notice. I went from 51 cpm to about 40 cpm, change without notice but was willing to stay if they would work something out. When I was offered another job that was paying more I put in my 2 weeks and again offered to stay if we could come to an agreement. I was told no. After leaving they filed on my DAC (Hireright) report that I had an unauthorized rider and left without notice.
I've had riders with companies in the past and they will all testify that I went through the proper channels and procedures to have them so why would I not do the same here?
Sometimes you catch people on a bad day and they can ruin you getting on with a better job.
I recently made a call to Rob in their safety department to rectify this issue and was told they had no record of a rider or giving my 2 weeks. If there is no record of having a rider then why are they saying I had an unauthorized one?
I would not recommend driving for Ecklund Logistics out of Neenah, WI to anyone. My suggestion if you are looking keep looking and good luck.
