Your exactly right.Just like landstar and some others I've never understood where they come up with there percentages 65 % when some others are paying 75 to 80.ive had some tell me it's because companies like landstar freight rates are higher.Thats doesn't make sense to me if a company can pull cheaper freight and still survive paying 80% why companies like landstar can't .Seems like they wouldn't have to advertise for help as much.

 

They have insatiable greed

 

The real question is are you better off leasing to Landstar or the company you currently work for for the same percentage. I would think you would take a couple years to learn the ropes at Landstar before you start pulling in the big bucks so these guys that badmouth it after six months and go back to driving for the company are probably not a good source

Landstar directly does not have company trks. Now agents do, but they are not company drivers for Landstar...
