This week I have been running my 1993 Kenworth t600 literally right with a 2016 Volvo 780 with a d13 and an Ishift. We are pulling the same flatbed loads. My last round trip I averaged 6.4 and he averaged 6.5. This is running the speed limits in WY and CO.

I drove a Mack with a Mack 13 speed. Unless it's something new. Never heard of a 14 speed.

Been driving a KW T680 automated manual for over a year. Never had a problem in ice and snow both at highway speed and slow maneuvers.

Only issue I have with auto is when backing you do not just slowly idle backwards as in a manual. Truck will not move without pressure on the pedal. Have to learn how to feather it to be smooth and sometimes it's hard to control the feathering.

In drive the transmission is set for fuel economy and tries to stay in highest gear possible as much as possible. I sometimes feel the need to manually downshift a gear or two prior to cresting a downgrade for better engine braking.

That how it works on my assigned 2017 volvo with isx15st2 smart advantage 10 speed junkshift. Cant use manual mode cause I need drive 65 mph at 9th gear before hitting hills. On manual mode i can only drive up 53 mph on 9th gear, then it stops accelerating. But instead throttle will kick back in at 63 instead of 65.

Yes I have found that too. it will only go so fast in the next lower gear to 'protect' itself lol but put those jakes on and and it will launch pistions through the engine.
