Sorry, I was delayed by another broken phone...but it's SOSDD for me. Looking forward to getting home and doing my taxes so I can abandon ship over here.

Not sure, IT was already inside the building when IT scared me.

I saw that queer wearing the cape today at Wilmer. Every 3 minutes he flitted to the coffee machine.
    I guess he wanted attention.

i called lincoln about there owner op program out of curiosity, & we get to the part about hometime,
& this girl Camille says its a mandatory 6 weeks until i can get home,
i live in vegas , but then she says 6 weeks for slc , 6 weeks for fontana, & so i ask about central texas ,
    this is 3 weeks ,
this all seemed excessive, i mean do crete drivers really have to stay out a mandatory 6 wks

The west coast drivers have always had to stay out longer because they don't have much west coast freight. I'm in a similar situation over here at Magnum. I live in FL, where they don't normally hire from. They said that in order for them to allow me to work there I had to stay out 5-8 weeks simply because they don't have a customer base in/out of FL, so they have to broker freight and/or deadhead me a long way for hometime. I think it's a similar situation for Crete on the left coast.

I thought one of the big selling points of the owner op thing was the ability to choose when and where you ran?

You do have some choices....but when it's home time...you are competing with all the company drivers...for west cost home time loads

    Onadetour Thanks this.

What I never understood was, I would be sent to the west coast and be stuck out there for a couple of weeks at a time. I would run up and down I-5 for several trips then get a load toward home. They may not have an abundance of freight out there but they could keep a good number of their drivers busy out there who are from there. Personally, I didn't care too much for the area. I loved the "getting there" and the "getting out of there" but not so much the "being there!

    Onadetour and iraqralph43 Thank this.

the actual owner op program , sounds good, i guess like iraqralph said , theres not too many loads going west ,i was told crete didnt have a west coast regional any longer
it seems like a looong time to get home for a co like crete
but i was checking out the salt lake fleet & it said 45 days out for co drivers

    Onadetour Thanks this.
