CFI contacted me back yesterday and said they would love to have me come on and Werner called me a few weeks back and said i was pre-hired. I am interested in both for different reasons but would like to hear if anyone has any new info other than what the recruiters are saying.

CFI is the better company by far. Only worked there a short time in 2011.

It depends. If you are teaming, Werner is great. If you are solo, they are a living hell.

CFI is decent, but Werner has higher team miles. It all depends on what you want to do.

the biggest thing with Werner for me was that I could go back to flatbed if i wanted. If i can get the miles with CFI that they say i can, ill can be happy there. I spoke to a CFI driver thursday who was very happy with his runs and i spoke to 2 Werner drivers who were happy and get miles but said they always get bothered to do the dedicated accounts even though they dont want them. As you said, "it all depends on what you want to do". Thanks for the reply.

I also think that CFI has better equipped trucks. I know they have 1500+ watt inverters.

I drove Werner for about 2 months , hated it !!!!!!! Werner totally sucked !!!!!! People there seemed nice they just did and said the dumbest things. They drove me crazy. I couldn't even quit !!!! Finally just had to clean out the truck and leave it at a terminal. Next company was great. Rented me a car and said drive on over when your ready for an easier life. Thank goodness it was only 2 months.

If you're an experienced driver, which your post leads me to assume, then why are you talking to these mega-crap-carriers that have a documented history of underpaying and expecting you to spend weeks at a time away from home? Texas is a major trucker-friendly state. Surely there are better options which are closer to home?

ur2ez83, LoneCowboy and DTP Thank this.
