Crossed the center line resulting in a head on collision and there were no charges. Am I reading that right?

Not sure how the companies word it on their apps but all they need to know is you were involved in a crash and were not charged.

Just so far some seem more strict than others.. was just wondering if anyone knew of a more lenient company

Not to beat dead horse but if you're describing the wreck to the companies you're applying to like you explained it to us it might be that they're not strict at all but don't want someone who appears to be passing the buck, so to speak. Not trying to be mean about it but like others have said safety departments and insurance companies take wording of situations very serious. Go with the mindset that yes you made a poor decision that resulted in a wreck (don't use the word accident) but you've learned from your poor judgment. Best of luck to you!

those company opinions count more than our opinions.

Swift was a starter company for us, a refresher really to get the miles in and time in, when we left to go to another company we found out over a year later that they put on our DAC "Head On Collision", for a minor scrape on a back end of a drivers car . It was not anything like that and we had a police report to prove it. We fought it through Hire Right and they removed the entire thing. But while looking for another company, we were being turned down left and right by the larger chains. Smaller companies is the way to go. Most check MVR and CSR scores, but if you find a mom and pop company, they are smaller, give special attention to you and listen to their drivers. They are in the business to make money, but not out there harm somebodies livelihood.
DAC reports are nothing but ruthless employers screwing with peoples careers and their families over some non reportable incidences on a truck that can easily be fixes. I am not referring to accidents, but yes, everyone has accidents and makes mistakes once in awhile. .
