A lot of municipalities have rules against overnight parking of commercial vehicles on city streets I've come to realize. And no, there generally wont be any posted signs warning you of such rules. (That would cost the city money if they couldn't blindside unsuspecting rubes with BS tickets you see...)
I got a $100 ticket for parking a company VAN (a Ford E-250) overnight in front of my house in Newark, NJ because it had commercial plates on it. Nothing with commercial plates is allowed to park on city streets between 11pm-5am. Private driveway or parking lot you're fine, but not on the street. And most of the other towns and municipalities around here have similar rules with fines ranging between $100-150 generally. It's easy money for the city.
